Dear Parents/Guardians,

This year, BSD has started to use iReady as a tool to support assessment and instruction for English Literacy and Math.

For Chinese, we are using iChinese reader assessment and Level Learning as a new tool. Your child's teacher will share more during our curriculum Night and during the fall parent teacher conference.

This is our Curriculum night schedule for this year:

JM 10/8/2025:

5:00--5:30 3-5th Grade Class Presentation in your child's classrooms

5:35--6:00 Admin Presentation for PreK-5th Grade at Cafeteria

6:05-6:35 PreK-2nd Grade Class Presentation in your child's classrooms

i-Ready Assessment and Personalized Instruction - Program and Scores Overview

This year for primarily grades K-8, Bellevue School District transitioned from STAR to i-Ready as our districtwide diagnostic and instructional tool for reading and mathematics.

i-Ready is an online program designed to support students’ learning throughout the year. It helps educators identify each student’s individual needs, personalize instruction, and monitor progress. The program has two main components: Diagnostic Assessments and Personalized Instruction.

Please note that scores may look different from what families have seen in the past. This is expected, as i-Ready uses a different set of measures and provides a more comprehensive picture of student learning. These results do not affect your student’s grade or their access to their current course/grade-level learning. Instead, i-Ready will be a powerful resource to strengthen and support students in both reading and math. Score reports will be available in ParentVUE late October.

• 10/8 Curriculum Night
• 10/10 No School Day for all students
• 10/21 Picture Day- class and individual picture
• 10/22 Unity Day-Wear Orange to show unity
• 11/3- 11/7 Parent Teacher Conference Week- Students follow Wednesday schedule- early release at 1:10 (Please make sure you have half day pick-up plans for these days.)
• 11/10-11/11 No school, Observe Veterans Day
• 11/27-11/28 Thanksgiving, No School

• 10月6日 到 10日： 步行与骑滑轮车上学

• 10月10日：全校放假一天

• 10月21日：学生照相日（集体照和个人照）

10月22日：团结日，穿橘色表示团结精神

• 11月3日至11月7日：家长教师座谈周，星期一到五学生都是按周三的课表上课，下午1:10放学（请家长提前安排好下午接送事宜。）

• 11月10日至11月11日：放假，纪念退伍军人日

• 11月27日至11月28日：感恩节假期
