JM: Family Newsletter 12.16, 2024 景美家长简报 2024年12月16日

Dear Parents and Families,

12/16 (Next Monday) is Jing Mei Incoming Preschool and Kindergarten Info Session at Jing Mei Cafeteria 5:30-6:30 pm (Please help spread the words to any families in your network that who might be interested in joining JM's preK and Kindergarten in 2025!)

Required Monthly Drill information:

Each month, we will do a required monthly drill to support student and staff's safety. On 12/19 3pm,  we will be conducting a lockdown drill and practicing actions to help keep us safe in the event of a threat or intruder.

During a lockdown drill, students learn about the importance of listening to school staff and following instructions quickly and quietly.

Lockdown is initiated when there is a threat to the campus or school. All threats are taken seriously. In the interest of student safety, a lockdown may be initiated while the nature of the threat is evaluated. Staff will lock classroom doors, shut off the lights, close the blinds, and to continually assess the situation. May 26 (Monday): No school, Memorial Day observance

June 19 (Thursday): No school, Juneteenth observance,

June 23 (Monday): Last day of school (last day of school is updated due to emergency school closures)

June 24 Summer Break begins

每月安全演习信息：

每个月我们都会做一个安全演习。12月19日星期四下午3点，我们将进行一次封锁演练，练习在威胁或入侵者出现时保持我们安全的措施。 在封锁演练期间，学生将学习听从学校工作人员的指示并迅速、安静地执行的重要性。 当校园或学校受到威胁时，将启动封锁。所有威胁都被严肃对待。为了学生安全，封锁可能在评估威胁性质时启动。工作人员将锁定教室门，关闭灯光，拉下窗帘，并持续评估情况。如果您对景美的安全和应急准备有任何问题或反馈，请联系副校长Ms. Hu。Hu, Dongni HuD@bsd405.org
