Nine Bellevue Schools Honored by the Washington School Recognition Program

Nine Bellevue Schools Honored by the Washington School Recognition Program

We're excited to announce that 9 Bellevue School District schools were recognized by the Washington School Recognition Program for their work in closing opportunity gaps and supporting students' growth and academic achievement during the 2024-2025 school year — an honor that only 16% of schools across the state received this year!

Please help us congratulate the following schools:

  • Ardmore Elementary School (Growth)
  • Cherry Crest Elementary School (Growth)
  • Enatai Elementary School (Growth)
  • International School (Achievement)
  • Jing Mei Elementary School (Growth)
  • Medina Elementary School (Achievement & Growth)
  • Phantom Lake Elementary (Growth)
  • Somerset Elementary School (Achievement)
  • Tyee Middle School (Growth)

“We have great teachers, incredible principals, awesome nurses and PE teachers, among many others, culminating into schools that are doing amazing things for kids... These awards are the result of a lot of hard work from people all over the system. So, congratulations to those nine schools — we are super proud.”

-Dr. Kelly Aramaki, Bellevue School District Superintendent

These awards, announced by the Washington State Board of Education (SBE) and the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction recognize that our schools have demonstrated exceptional progress in key areas of student success. Access the full list of schools, award methodology, and more information on SBE’s School Recognition webpage.

“We are proud of everyone who was recognized this year. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment happening every day in these schools — from students showing up ready to learn, to educators and administrators providing meaningful support and instruction.”

-Mary Fertakis, Washington State Board of Education Chair
