I moved to Bellevue for the high-quality public schools. Since then, my four kids have matriculated through elementary, middle, and high school. I’ve learned the Bellevue School District has the highest percentage of National Board Certified Teachers in Washington and ranks near the top nationally. Students and parents consistently rate those teachers highly. I'm so thankful for the support Bellevue Schools Foundation provides for this critical program.

Ms. Sun C is our kindergarten teacher. She loves Jing Mei because the workplace has a strong sense of community, excellent leadership, and the chance to make a real impact. The people she works with create a positive environment. She joins our Racial, Equity and Inclusion Team (REI) to learn how to help the students with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Ms. Bi is our kindergarten teacher this year. This is her second year at Jing Mei. She loves Jing Mei because the staff are friendly and supportive, as well as the inclusive culture and positive atmosphere here. She joins our Racial, Equity and Inclusion Team (REI) team to learn the impact of REI on the teaching instruction.

Ms. Gu is a resource room teacher. She loves Jing Mei because of the enthusiasm displayed by the children in learning Chinese, and she appreciates Jing Mei for the valuable training she receives, as well as the evident love and professionalism demonstrated by the teachers. She joins our Racial, Equity and Inclusion Team (REI) to learn more and to provide support for children with different backgrounds and needs.

Ms. Xi is the 2nd grade teacher. She Ioves Jing Mei because of the excellence of the bilingual program and dedicated colleagues. The reasons for her to join the Racial, Equity and Inclusion Team (REI) are to advocate for the needs of underrepresented students and also to learn and improve her inclusive teaching practices.
